A New Layout for a Front Garden in Caversham
This new front garden and driveway is both smart and practical and the quality of the workmanship and materials shines through.
If you are lucky enough to have a spacious front garden, a new layout design can make all the difference to how the area looks and is used. One of our latest projects is yet to be finished, but is a good example of a smart and practical update to a front garden and driveway.
There are a number of elements that have updated the space here:
- The re-shaped driveway, provides extra parking and a turning space which finishes with an attractive curve at the top. The new layout draws the eye up to the front of the property and adds interest as well as being practical.
- Smart clay brick pavers have been used as edging. The driveway currently has a tarmac surface, but will be finished with durable resin laid on top. A couple of dry days together are needed to complete the work.
- We have updated the landscaping at the front of the house, by removing the dated and unattractive concrete surfaces and laying a new contemporary pathway using large porcelain tiles in ‘Premio Sabbia’.
- Working with the gentle slope, we installed a series of paved topped steps which lead from the drive to the front door, providing easy access for our client. The paving was sourced from our supplier Nigel Belcher and the bright, neat finish and sharp lines have transformed this part of the garden.
Over the next couple of weeks we hope to have photos showing the new resin surface and border planting – watch this space!
